Possible residue from filter change,or the filter may be lose,if you can reach it try tightening it,it should only need to be hand tight. either that or when oil was added they may have spilt a drop.but more likely to be residue from filter change as when filter is changed i normally smear some oil around the new oil filter seal.

Trans. cooler lines are on this side and above the pan I would believe this would be a good place to look, assumeing pan is sealed.

If it does it again after you change the oil and filter, I would have the pressure relief valve checked in the oil pump.

Make sure when you put the filter on that there's not a piece of an old gasket sitting there. That will prevent the new gasket from sealing.

The rear seal of the engine could have started to leak but a loose oil pan or damaged oil filter could be a factor.

My car is having a lite oil leak and i want be able too get it the shop until Wednesday so what should i do?

was the oil changed recently? the filter or drain plug may be loose. if it's a leak that has been there for a while and you haven't had a recent oil change, just keep your eye on the oil level and you'll be ok. if you've had an recent oil change, and the filter or plug is loose, they might loosen more due to vibration and cause major oil loss.

I have a 2002 nissan altima 2.5L with an oil leak but why is the oil always black shortly after a change or fill?

If you are talking about the spot being black on concrete or the oil on the bottom of the engine?
Oil loves dirt also depending on the type of filter you are using will determine the color or how clean your oil is. I recommend using WIX they are not cheap but they do work. After a couple of oil changes you will notice your oil will not appear so black. The black is deposits in the oil.I also recommend using a good brand name oil that won't break down and changing every 3000mi.

Wrong Transmission oil

you dont need a complete oil change.
the other oil will also lubricate, so the oil you have put on, is as good as the oil who was there before
