My land cruiser 2010 model, t-belt warning light ON at 150,000km. i allready changed timing belt, but how can reset the timing belt warning light
Not sure if thes will work for you but try it you wont lose any thing :
turn the key on hold the odometer button in and turn the key but don't start the engine and keep holding the button for 10 ten seconds then lift your finger off the button and the number 1 should come up now this number represents 10,000 K's so what you do is keep pushing the button until you reach the desired K's you want you can go up to 20 = 200,000 K's and then you hold the button in for another 10 seconds then let go and turn the key off and turn it back on and it should be gone i know this works because I've just done it today

Hi,
I am assuming that you have a series 80 diesel engine and that it has run for about 100,000 kms hence the warning light and the changing of the timing belt. Based on the instructions of its repair manual you need to "remove the
grommet off from the speedometer and turn off the lamp by pushing the
warning light reset switch, then replace the grommet." Alternately, you can try to reset the entire computer of the vehicle by removing the battery cables for a couple of minutes. Pls note that some car radios/head units would revert to security default (ask for a code) when power is completely removed.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.
SOURCE: TIMING BELT MARKS DONT MATCH AFTER ENGINE TURNED OVER
dont worry about that you will have to turn the motor over 40 to 50 time before those timing belt marks line up again if your pulley marks line up correctly thats all you have to worry about
SOURCE: I have a 2000 model
i have exactly the same model and same problem at 100,000 km however i read the forum advice but my one neither has the grommet on the front neither a screw to re-locate to reset so the only way was to remove the bulb instead
