Clean the carburetor. It will probably run like a top after.

SOURCE: hesitation, stalling like out of gas

Clogged Catalytic Converter. What happens is as you push down harder on the accelerator you force more gas into the system causing a slightly richer mixture and more exhaust flow is neccessary. The easiest way to look for a clogged cat is when it's dark out take it for a ride causing it perform it's problem look under the vehicle if the cat is literally glowing red hot you either have a clogged cat or an extremely rich fuel mixture.

SOURCE: u step on the gas and no power like its not getting enough fuel

i had a similar problem with mine. first i cleaned the maf sensor which is located on the passenger side right behind headlight assy. if you remove the air filter you will see a sensor which is mounted with 2 screws. when you remove it, it will look like a light bulb filament only a little beafier. the sensor will be covered with carbon. it should be silver. clean with alcohol or carb cleaner. this fixed my problem to a point. the major offender was a vacuum line on the passengers side between the firewall and injector assy. this line comes up from below and when it gets to the top of the assy it is bent almost in a u-shape. what it needs is a preformed bend. the heat from the manifold softens this line at the bend and when you accelerate it is getting sucked in on itself and pinching off the vacuum. this should fix your problem. my car is running great now. oh, by the way, i originally sent it to the mechanic and he wanted to put 2 new catalytic converters in it. said they were running hot which means they are clogged. glad i didnt listen to him, would have set me back 600 dollars

SOURCE: 03 bonneville hard starting,stalls

Hello! There are a couple of possibilities for your issue:

1) Fuel pump relay - this tells the fuel pump resistor to turn the fuel pump, either in high or low mode.
2) Fuel pump resistor - see above (very common issue)
2) Faulty fuel pump

Hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa!

My 2004 Honda civic won't start. It will start fine minute then I will run into the store and it won't start. It acts like it is starving for gas. If I wait a while it will start.

Check the fuel filter. Air cleaner. Vacuum lines and fuel pump. And all fuses. Make sure the gas cap is venting and dont trust the fuel gauge fill it up.

Girl put bad gas in 49 get bad gas in 49cc Tayo . changed gas . wont throtle uo.pump ok. Filter ok acts like starving for gas Acts like float valve is stuck

Most likely some of the bad gas is still in the system causing this. Run it until it runs better, if that doesn't help, drain ALL FUEL from it, including the lines, even dry them out before adding more fuel. You also might need to take out the spark plug and clean or replace it if it is fouled with it.

Have DR650 motorcycle, seems to be fuel starved at higher revs, cutting out, replaced filter, and drained carby no better, any suggestions?

Check the Tank vent, If it's starving or cutting out it may be creating a vacuum on the tank. Open the tank a bit and see if it still starves at higher RPM. If it runs fine, Located the vent tube and lean it out or clean the vent on the gas cap either way. If it's still starving for fuel, then look at the petcock. If it's one of the vacuum diaphragm auto types, the diaphragm is probably bad and will need to be replaced. Dump it and get a manual valve.

Car dies after it warms up, no pressure in radiator when i remove cap, and acts like it's starving for gas

Some of the information does not correlate.

If there is no Pressure, then you Radiator Cap is Bad

Stalling or Starving for Gas can be a Fuel Pump or Air Filter

Remove the Air Filter and see what happens.

Test the PRESSURE of the FUEL System

Just changed map sensor fuel filter idle control valve and when you press the gas it hesitates like its bn starved think its a bad injector all the vac lines are connected checked relays still having probs...

check the fuel pressure and volume with a gage and check to specs.it could be a bad tps sensor.if it was a bad injector it would run rough and not feel like its starving for gas.it could be that all the injectors are dirty and need to be cleaned or if too dirty replaced.

Have your battery checked - could have dead cells. Even though you have changed fuel pump and filter is fuel getting through could be a blocked line.

My truck acts like it is starving for gas

You need to check spark plugs/wires/distributor cap.
Also good idea to check/replace fuel filter/air filter. It might be also bad fuel pump.
Good Luck
