check your ecm/ign fuse in the fuse panel inside the car

Clogged Catalytic Converter. What happens is as you push down harder on the accelerator you force more gas into the system causing a slightly richer mixture and more exhaust flow is neccessary. The easiest way to look for a clogged cat is when it's dark out take it for a ride causing it perform it's problem look under the vehicle if the cat is literally glowing red hot you either have a clogged cat or an extremely rich fuel mixture.
SOURCE: u step on the gas and no power like its not getting enough fuel
i had a similar problem with mine. first i cleaned the maf sensor which is located on the passenger side right behind headlight assy. if you remove the air filter you will see a sensor which is mounted with 2 screws. when you remove it, it will look like a light bulb filament only a little beafier. the sensor will be covered with carbon. it should be silver. clean with alcohol or carb cleaner. this fixed my problem to a point. the major offender was a vacuum line on the passengers side between the firewall and injector assy. this line comes up from below and when it gets to the top of the assy it is bent almost in a u-shape. what it needs is a preformed bend. the heat from the manifold softens this line at the bend and when you accelerate it is getting sucked in on itself and pinching off the vacuum. this should fix your problem. my car is running great now. oh, by the way, i originally sent it to the mechanic and he wanted to put 2 new catalytic converters in it. said they were running hot which means they are clogged. glad i didnt listen to him, would have set me back 600 dollars

Hello! There are a couple of possibilities for your issue:
1) Fuel pump relay - this tells the fuel pump resistor to turn the fuel pump, either in high or low mode.
2) Fuel pump resistor - see above (very common issue)
2) Faulty fuel pump
Hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa!
