2002 oldsmobile intrigue starts but stalls only once.

My car will start no problem everytime but the first time i start it it seems to stall once while warming up. after that there is no problem. I can drive and drive and drive with no issues. I can stop it go do something for a few hours and come back and its still good but if I leave it for like around 6 or 7 hours it will do it again while it is warming up. Any help please let me know. You have a bad crankshaft position sensor. When the thermostat opens on warmup, the auxiliary air pump starts up momentarily which causes a quick dip in battery voltage and drops the output from the crankshaft rotation sensor. the computer thinks the engine is not running and shuts down the fuel. If idling, engine will die, if moving sometimes will just hiccup.

Seems to not get fuel

fuel pump relay or the pump itself may already have carbon build ups, contacts inside may be compromised or intermittent. or might be wire connection is loose

Everytime I hit the brakes the rpms drops almost to the point of stalling the car..Is it my alternator

On the surface, it seems you have an issue with the TPS (throttle position sensor) which regulates idling speeds accordingly for when the engine is cold, warm, or if the AC is in operation. A quick do-it-yourself test (not very scientific but a good indicator of a bad alternator) is to start the car and after it warms up, turn on all accessories (headlights, RW defroster, etc). If the car does not decrease in RPM's or if there's no dropoff in the brightness of the headlights, the alternator is fine. You can also get a free electrical test at most chain autoparts stores (Autozone etc) to rule out an alternator problem.
Most cars that have stalling problems when the car is warm can trace those problems back to the TPS.

CLEANING THE MAF SENSOR ON MY '99 INTRIGUE

You don't clean them, you get a new one. Usually if it's the MAF, it'll start and die, start and die. If your's is stalling, it'll be the idle air control valve, or the fuel filter, or the idle control system, or a vacuum leak at the intake or vacuum hoses. Good luck.

NTERMITTENT STALLING AND STARTING.

A very common for these problems is a leaking fuel pressure regulator. This leaks gas and causes extended crank times, stalling, and check engine light.

2002 oldsmobile intrigue intermittent trouble strarting

Crankshaft position sensor problems causing stall/non-start are common in Intrigues 98-02, but the sensor is rarely malfunctioning - usually just a flake of metal attached to the magnetic sensing portion causing the error. Save money - inspect/clean/replace the sensor prior to buying new.
