Hi i have a peugeot 306 lx auto wont start

Hi i have a peugeot 306 lx auto
it was working fine until the other day i went to start it but with no joy, it cranks/ turnsover fine but it dont seem to catch i checked the spark plugs, battery, made sure it had fuel, cam belt,
also the clock fuel gauge has stop working at the same time so all three must be connected some how i checked fuses and they seem fine any ideas cheers

i put it in at a garage the guy said it looks like a big problem said best take it to peugeot so im not very happy with my car at the mo

Are the spark plugs sparking ?? if not then it could be an ECU fault or the immobiliser cut in.Seems strange that the clock and fuel gauge have stopped as well or they are just coincedental

sorry to hear about the ultimate defeat and putting car in peugeot garage.if the car was local and i could do the usual, kick the wheel light a *** and have a cuppa, scratch nuts then start playing with it pulling bits off and wiggling connectors and checking fuel supply and spark iam sure i would diagnose the problem and evan fit a spare or two from scrappers and make it run.But iam in alicante spain

Where is gearbox oil refill plug on peugeot 306 hdi 51 plate

it is a 19mm bolt on the side of the gearbox it takes ep 75 90 gear oil if it helps

I have a peugeot 306 lx 2001. electric window not working?

if the right door window works: pull out the switch for the power windows, and try to change the switches between them, to see if the problem comes from there, if it works replace the bad switch, if still not working take out the door panel and take a look at the wiring to the motor, if all good then the motor is the problem. but it usually comes from the switch.

hello it sound like ign switch to me if you check voltage at key swictch going in at out when you turn the key to crank if you dont see power on cramking wire then its defently the swicth the thats were i would start hope this helps Thunderboltz

Hi just bought a peugeot 306 2001 model, all seamed fine until i drove 40 miles down the road, and it started making a trebile rattle noise, no over heating etc.. let car cool down all's ok again, only...

it sounds like you need to replace your cooling fan as this only opperates when the engine gets up to temperature

how hard was your car hit?? is it petrol or diesel? if its petrol the first thing that pops to mind is that, under the bonnet near the back (cant remember what side) you'll see a big red button, press it and try agaijn.. this is a knock sensor for if you ever have a crash... ive set one off just by parking and bumpin the car in front
