Both error codes you have are transmission related. P0736 is an error for reverse has wrong gear ratio. P0700 is a general transmission problem code

1995 subaru legacy reverse is slipping think it could be a solenoid? Which solenoid and where can I find it? Thanks in advance. Yahthay

This is not an electrical issue as you suspect.
These transmissions operate each gear you select by pressurizing the valve body passage that engages the gear. Get a transmission specialist to test/inspect the valve body to determine the actual cause. It could be as simple as original fluid in the car or the valve body is losing pressure. Worst case is the main pump is failing then getting a working used transmission would be the least expensive repair

Ihave a 2000 Nissan frontier 2wd and it has 3.3 motor,in the morning when its cold it will not go in gear,it has an automatic, but if I put it in d2 it will go in gear. does anyone know what the proble

Try having the transmission fluid flushed and replaced with high quality tran fluid. If that does not help let the car warmup before you drive it as this condition is also called transmission slipping. This happens due to the truck being in very cold weather. The system freezes and contracts, plus the fuel line fluid begins to leak from the seals resulting in a low line pressure. If the vehicle faces a low line pressure or inadequate fuel supply within the system, the gears would refuse to function correctly and that would cause slipping.

Transmission not working right

Have the transmission pressure tested to see if it is OK. The shift solenoids may be weak or the valve body may be worn enough to not allow pressure to build. You might just want to rebuild the transmission.

Transmission not working right

I believe you have a slipping gears and looks like the gear box need overhauling. Take it to an Automatic Transmission Specialist to Diagnose.Do not leave it and use it any further, surely you will cause serious damage and cost.

1990 toyota camry wont go into gear or slips out

Could be a long list of things.
Its too late for a filter change. Doing that now would probably make matters worse.
The trans uses electric solenoids and a pump to apply pressure to the clutches. So either could be faulty given the age and mileage.
I'm not sure if the shifting problem is connected to the shift indicator lights problem.
You may need to take it to a trans shop to find out for sure. And they will not want to touch it with that many miles on it.
A regular mechanic might be able to do a pressure test on it to at least find out if it is the pump or not.

Car stops moving in reverse gear

Sounds like the car is just slipping out of gear. Keep your hand on the shifter when you back up next time. See if you can feel the shifter move when the car comes out of gear. If the shifter moves up when it happens keep pressure on the shifter holding it back like you dont want it to move forward. And of course if the shifter moves back when it comes out of gear, put forward pressure on the shifter so it doesnt slip out. This might work for now but but i know i wouldnt want to spen 700 for that ****. Let me know how it goes.
