Turn signals not working, hazards do work. changed arm & verified wires still not working. could it be the turn signal flasher? where is it located. please help~!

Sometimes my turn signals will flash several times then nothing. Sometimes they do not work at all. The hazard flashers work great so it doesn't seem to be a bulb problem. Could it be the flasher switch/relay or would it be the turn signal switch on the steering column?

It is behind center of instrument cluster just above the accel pedal in the blower/flasher relay block,it is actually a relay on this vehicle.

I had the same problem on my 96 Ford Explorer. I changed the Turn signal arm and it still did not fix the problem. I then replaced the flasher that was under the dash in the center of the console. After I done that the turn signals started to work properly. I hope this helps you also.

1999 Expedition hazards do not work. The turn signals and brake lights work normal

Flashers have a fuse that goes bad from time to time. Your local auto supply house usually stock them inquire about it and get information on its location. It is usually fastened ot the steering column under the dash. I hope that this solves your problem.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!! I replaced my flasher unit, and my signal lights still blink 1-2 times then nothing. My hazards and brake lights work fine. I push the signal arm down and it blinks 1-2 times then...

Have you replaced the relay because there's one of them as well with the flasher unit. I've been having a problem with my hazards not working but turn signals work fine. Maybe the arm on your steering column might be on its way out because they do get used alot.

Sounds as though the signal relay (cube sized) switch has failed, this is normally located under the steering console once you have removed the cover panel.. I do hope this helps....

How to fix no brake light issue on 1999 Expedition

Have you tried wiggling the hazard light switch? The brake light switch puts 12 volts to the hazard/turn signal switch, and the switch will apply this to both taillights. If you turn on the left or right turn signal,it will only route 12 volts to the other light. If you turn on the hazard lights,it will only allow the 3rd brake to come on due to the brake switch.Often.the hazard light/brake light contacts get corroded due to not being turned on and off regularly.Have someone watch the taillights(or use a mirror) to see if they come on when you wiggle the hazard switch. If it does, turn the hazard light switch on and of repeatedly to clean the contacts.

1999 ford f 550 turn signal and hazard lights are not working. fuses are good.

I am not familiar with this vehicle, but I am confortable with wiring diagrams. I pulled the electrical diagram for the model year 1999 HD/350/SUPER DUTY (which would include your F-550). I would suspect the hazard switch in your multifunction switch/arm/wiper lever. It is the only common thing between the 2 systems, and both are wired through 2 different flasher assemblies through 2 separate wires to the multifunction switch/arm. In fact, the hazard lights are a hot battery item and bypass the turn signal switch for the front turn signals as well as the indicators in your dash.

Try to check if your stop lights do come on when you hit the brakes... if they don't, your problem is really with the hazard switch within the multifunction switch/arm.

I do not know if this switch can be replaced separately from the multifunction switch/arm, but from what I found surfing the net, the whole thing (multifunction switch/wiper lever) goes for about 50$. There are some DIY on the internet to replace the assembly, but it would seem it can be a bit tricky to replace for someone not familiar around the steering wheel portion.

Hope this helps.

My turn light don't work but the hazadours lights does it

if the emergency lights are working the we can eliminate the relay because it's a combination relay for both turn signal and hazardous lights. you need to check the fuses, it's more likely the problem. it won't hurt to make sure if the bulbs are ok

Can't find the fuse for the signal lights on 99 expedition

The turn signal flasher assembly is located under the driver's side of the instrument panel, on the front of the fuse panel for the 1997-98 F-250HD, F-350 and F-Super Duty models and under the center section of the instrument panel in the relay/flasher block on all other models.

Also can review the 1999 Ford Expedition Owners Manual (page 132 for Fuse Panel Description); this is in the position 23, 10Amp (Turn/Hazard Flasher and others).

I really hope helps with this (remember rated this help) Good luck.

96 Ford Taurus no turn signals or hazards

Take the turn signal lever and jiggle it, a lot. If they start working, the switch is bad. You can also turn on the hazards and take hold of the button and push it left , right , forward and back and see if they start working. If so, replace the turn signal/ hazard switch.
