My 2005 Ford Expedition went into limp home mode going up a hill. I had the truck on cruise control and the wrench light came on. No other lights came on. I've recently had the spark plugs changed

The truck has 107,000 miles on it.

SOURCE: 2003 ford expedition... shaking when driving and

will try to help.the shaking during braking may be a warped brake rotor, shaking while driving is in the wheel alignment. you have several issues to deal with.as far as the engine light flashing, check all your fluid levels in the engine. oil,low coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid. top off fluids as needed. you can reset that engine light by disconnecting the positive cable from the battery for 10mins.this will reset the cars computer. but if you have a sensor or other issues, that light will come back on.the only way to know for sure is to have it code read a garage or dealership will be able to plug it in to get the codes for you.hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com

SOURCE: Re: Engine light is on after changing spark plugs

Go to autozone and have the code scanned. And come back here to ask more question. Otherwise you are wasting money.

SOURCE: limp home mode

You need to scan for engine trouble codes. Most parts stores will do this for free, and tell you what they mean and make recommendations on what to do. The 'limp mode' kicks in to prevent damage to the vehicle when the computer gets data that something is wrong.. When you shut it off, it's temporarily reset, but then the cars computer is signaling there is still a problem, and it goes back into limp mode. If you have any questions after getting the codes 'read' , post questions and code #;s here for help. Good luck.

SOURCE: I own a 2002 ford

Try disconnecting the Battery for 10 minutes. Just take off the NEG- cable. The warning light has a reminder for faults. It takes 25 to 35 startups before the problems cycle through. Or you can disconnect the Battery like I indicated.

You can also go to Autozone or Oreillys for a free scan. They can use the scanner to wipe the problems off the onboard computer in your car. If the problem returns go back and have them scan it again and find the culprit.

You can compare the new list to the parts you already replaced.

We have a 2006 Ford f250 super duty powerstroke F4X4 and the wrench symbol came on while driving, when turned off it went off, started driving toward home and it came back on again. What does this me

Sounds like 2 separate problems. The wrench light signifies that the truck goes into" limp home" mode and that there is a problem with your electronic speed control. As far as the truck pulling; is it doing it just driving without using the brakes? It could mean that you may need an alignment, tire rotation , low tire pressures or all of the above. Good luck to you

Hello What does it mean when a wrench shows up on the dash board. what is a limp home operation

The wrench indicates that the control system has determined there is a fault somewhere in the transmission system. This fault may or may not induce limp home mode, as is true of any issue with the engine or transmission, but should be checked by a trained professional as soon as possible.

2005 Crown Vic indicator light question?

This is from your owners manual, the little wrench means the following:
Electronic throttle control:
Illuminates when the engine has
defaulted to a ’limp-home’ operation.
Report the fault to a dealer at the
earliest opportunity.

U have some kind of serious fault, u need to go to the dealer.
