There is a quick disconnect tool you need. It pushes into the end of the coupler. About $5 at a parts store.

Yeah! Tell me about it!!! Those so-called "quick connects" are quick for connecting, but can be a nightmare for DISCONNECTING. You must squeeze the connectors from both sides and pull out on the connector at the same time. The problem is that you must squeeze very ******* the connector with little or no room for your hands. If you pull on the line before the connector is squeezed far enough, it will not release. You must push the connector back in and SQUEEZE HARD and try pulling the line off again. When you finally do it just right, the line will simply slide off. Matco Tools has a tool that works pretty good in accomplishing this task. However, I have searched the internet and have found no other supplier that offers a tool that is anything like it.

The job can be done without the tool, but it is very hard and you will probably get painful cramps in your hands from trying. If there is room to work, a pair of long-nosed pliers can work. (Most of the time there is not enough room for this.)

the main tool guys, Snap On, Mac tools, Matco, s&k... usually only come around to the shops to sell tools to the mechanics but you can go online to their websites and create an account and buy that tool.

This requires a tilt column pivot pin removal tool which is a specialty tool you will have to use or you will destroy your steering column. Check with a local tool delivery service like snap on or matco to find one

what you need to open is a haynes repair manual or go to the library or chiltons online

This specialty tool can be bought on any tool truck( Snap on, matco, mac tools truck) or you can take a pleasant drive down to the closest Sears department store and in the tool section they stock these under the brake component aisle, sometimes these tools are locked up ehind glass.Any questions please get back to me, I'M HERE TO HELP!!!

I would say you are better off buyin the tool from a tool truck like cornwell matco its a two peice kit it only costs like 20 to 25 bucks

ask to a locksmith guy they shoul be able to help you
or the tools truck guy like snap on matco or mac
