I have a 2000 ford windstar i have replaced the water pump,radiator,anti-freeze to 50/50 ,flushed out the heater core and still no heat also bought 2 thermostat's any help ...thanks
My 99 windstar did this too. It was the blend door that the actuator motor goes into was broke. When you pull the actuator out look into the hole and see if you see a d shape piece coming out of the box if it is not d shape it is broke check out this site great photos
The problem (which is all to common on Windstar and Explorer) is the air temperture control blend door actuator motor is defective, this motor is what moves a door that gives hot, cold or a blend of hot and cold air blend to give u the desired outlet air temp.
Can you hear the door in the heater box under the dash moving some newer vehicles have a motor insted of a cabling system for heater controls.
you can also try doing a rad presure test to force the fluid threw
Got my heat fix and he comes on when it want to.
Hello and Welcome to FixYa.com
ok you will need to thaw the radiator. either remove it or find a garage to put it in with heat. then flush and add the 50/50 mix of anti freeze and water.

I have a 1999 windstar. I got a new actuator motor for mine last week and when i took the old one I found out it was the blend door that the actuator fits into was broke. The bad news for my 99 you can't buy just a replacement blend door. You have to buy the whole heater core box. Mine priced at $400. We tried to get door out to glue it but they made so you couldn't get it out. We cut the box to get it out and we found a website that sell a replacement blend door called heater treater.
