My wife hit a pot hole and the heater blower fan started blowing like it was on high but the switch was not. she played with the switch turning it from high too off and the speed did not change. when she got to her destination and shut off the van the blower was still on. my buddy pulled a fuse out and stopped it, but now the blower works by switch except on high. i would like to know what it could be and how i can fix it.

it sounds to me like your blower moter resister or your blower moter switch are going bad both are right under the hood next to the blower moter one has 2 witers on it the other has 4 it usuley on the pass side right near the window

Test the motor first, The wire to it is a hot positive wire and the motor's housing is the ground. If that works ok next check the resistor to see if its burnt out. Did you look at your fuses first?

I think you need to check the blower motor first,
using a test light locate the blower motor,it will be behind the glove box under the dash,Turn the key on and the fan switch on,now check the wires to motor,One will be black thats ground,Check the other it could be red or blue,if your test light lights up its the motor.

sounds like you may have two problems
you need to install pressure gauges on the a/c lines to confirm charge
then "jump" the clutch switch to verify a/c operation
as for the location of air from your dash, then is the result of a defective selection motor
did both of these occur at the same time?

sounds like a faulty climate control switch...
Call your local salvage yard and ask how much one is where you live...
