I a '83 camry, there are 2 seperate plugs that go into a factory radio.
One for Power/and front speakers, and the other for rear speakers.
Sounds as if you are missing part of the harness for the rear speakers (or it is shoved in the back of the dash unused by the previous install). If there is not an un-cut plug in the dash - your only course of action would be to run your own set of speaker wire to the rear.
See this picture... these are the plugs that should go into your factory radio....
Metra kit 71-1938 will go from your factory wiring directly into your factory radio.

SOURCE: need to know the wires to install a deck for 97
Red is power to from ignition to cd deck
Yellow is direct power from battery to cd deck to hold the memory.
Black is ground
Blue is only needed if you are hooking up an amplifier.
I always suggest buying a wire harness quick connect system for $5, then you won't have to cut origional car wiring. If by chance you are taking the original wire route, then go to installer.com to find which wires on the car are for what.
Testimonial: "GOOD STUFF!!!"

Sorry, I have been in the auto repair business for 37 years and I have no clue what an "indicator lever" is. Are you talking about a gearshift indicator? a turn signal lever? Please clarify what it is you are trying to fix.
