I replaced the TCM with one out of a 93 accord 28100 PXO 722, same number that came out of mine. Initially after change D4 flashed a few times then car ran fine. Drove the car for about 35 miles. Son called and said car is now shifting from 4th down to 3rd and sometimes 2nd. I did take one of the transmission solenoids off and cleaned screens. I did not take the lower solenoid off. Shift lock sensor down by gear shift clicks off and on. Wonder if this is vehicle speed sensor, lower transmission solenoid, or shift lock switch? Any ideas?
It sounds like you have a Bad Shift Solenoid that is shorting out, Cleaning the Solenoid probably moved the "WIRE" and then when reinstalled, worked it way back. If the Shorting of the Shift Solenoid causes the issue with the PCM/TCM, then either your PCM did not have an issue or the Solenoid just took out your new PCM due to not repairing the issue the first time. I personally would start out with changing the Solenoids (ALL OF THEM) and Un-Plugging the PCM while doing the repair. This will do a reset for you.

Has anyone change the transmission fluid and used anything other than Honda ATF-Z1. If so, have the fluid/filter changed in this car and use only Honda Fluid. This is the only fluid that you can use in a Honda. Even if you have used the correct fluid an fluid/filter change may help. If that is not the case then I suggest you seek out a trusted professional.

its kind of hard diagnosing this kind of problem like this but i could tell u what it might be. it could be your TPS sensor. shift solenoid or something wrong with the transmission valve body. i hope this helps i love those cars : )
