I have a 1997 acura tl with 197,000 miles. When the car is in neutral there is no vibration but when you put it in drive or reverse the car starts shaking. Also at 55 to 60 mph with the car under load (going up a grade)the car shakes but not the steering wheel. The vibration is getting worse I noticed that there is more oil on the frame under the engine since the vibration has gotten worse. Thanks in advance.
2003,Dodge neon, only shakes in drive, sitting steal.and when I put it in neutral,it stops shaking?what could it be.Thanks for the help..it does shake bad..
Wow..thats not good..first have motor mounts checked, maybe the tranny mount or possibly if ur car has it is the driveshaft bearings...good luck on the oil leak...maybe tranny fluid..make sure if ur losing fluid that ur checking them incl. the tranny fluid...u might find ur leak first of all by rechecking the oil cap where it is supposed to be ...same with all fluid caps.

Thanks for the advice the drive shaft bearing if any would not cause the engine to vibrate in drive sitting still, check the mounts ok.
I have a 2000 CrownVictoria and have the same shaking problem. When I put the car in drive or reverse it starts shaking pretty bad. But when I have it in park or neutral, there's no problem. When I went to get my oil changed the technician told me that I needed a serpintine belt. Would this be the problem or is there another reason for it? Thanks for any advice.
