Bought car today (1985 Nissan 300zx Turbo, v6, 200hp, 3.0l) and it was running and starting well. When I got home and turned the ignition it started up quickly again, I drove it to the store and came back. A couple hours later I attempted to turn it over again and it cranked for awhile before it started, it didn't feel right to me so I shut the car down and tried again to no success. The car doesn't turn over anymore and whenever I crank it the smell of fuel takes over. I believe it could be a sensor or something but I really don't know. Anything info you have that can help please let me know.
SOURCE: wont start takes hours to start again
.When the injectors leak they flood the engine and holding pedal to the floor or waiting hours for fuel to dissipate. See if you have spark and fuel when it wont run. If there is no spark check the electronic control module under the cap
SOURCE: car turns over but won't start.
Car
not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can
be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it
can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or
no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition
coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned. To
confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required. Click
