The throttle body may need to have a re-learn performed. This can only be done with a shop with a VAG system or the dealer. One of VW's great ideas, an electronic throttle body. Double check your coils as well. You may be getting spark, but not enough. I had both of these issues on an 03 Passat a couple of weeks ago in my shop.

Toyota Caldina cambelt broke. Valve damage?

Sorry to say there is most likely quite expensive damage to the valve train and pistons. A new cam belt can be installed and the motor rotated to see if it is turning freely after which you would do a compression check (lack of compression will indicate bent or broken valves). I've never seen a diesel break a belt and avoid damage, virtually always a catastrophic failure.

Where is the water pump on my VW caravelle T5 2.5 diesel

not too familiar with caravell however the water pump may be driven by the cambelt as many engines are today which would entail the cambelt being renewed +tensioner as well as waterpump if this is the reason for asking its location ?

Cambelt on MK4 1.8t

Every 60k miles. Best way to do it is to visit the websites for www.germanautoparts.com, www.ecstuning.com, or www.purems.com and give them your VIN number. They sell timing kits that include all the necessary parts for the job and by supplying your VIN number, you can be sure to get the proper kit, as some parts differ based on where in the model year your car was built.
