2007 pontiac, solstice cam sensor replacement -is this common?

I had a cam sensor replaced 2 weeks ago now my engine light is coming on again indicating cam sensor replacement. Is this a common problem with a 2007 Solstice?

I had a similar problem with my 2007. I followed the code information and a few months later had the issue again. I took it to the Buick Dealership and found out it was the timing chain. When the chain begins to give on this engine it may cause two sensors to be out of sync. Cost a pretty penny to fix.

2006 solstice coded to replace camshaft actuator valves, cleared codes, 2 days later service engine light came on again

More than likely you need to replace the cam phaser itself it only comes on do to lack of oil pressure to the motor ( like not changing your oil regular or running the car extremely low on oil)

I have had head gasket replaced in my 2007 Pontiac Solstice but I still have white smoke coming out of my tail pipe; What can be wrong???

Still have coolant leaving the exhaust,
means the problem wasn't diagnosed &
repaired properly

Not too many choices there

Head Gasket,intake,cracked head

Sounds like the head gasket wasn't
the only issue,something was missed
during the last reapair

1999 pontiac grand prix . will not run

If you unplug the MAF sensor it should run using the default mapping. I'm having the same problem, but I want to figure out why it won't run with the sensor connected.
