SOURCE: how do you remove the windshield wiper arms

To remove the end caps from the wiper arms. When you pull back the wipers, it is the small cover that didn't pull back. Pull it back. You will see a nut, or a screw, to remove arm. Take note of wiper position beforeyou remove! They have to be put back exactly, at the same angle you tookk them off.

SOURCE: how to a remove the wiper arm

Most windshield wiper arms usually fail due to a loose nut or rusted and worn out parts. Fixing this depends on how the wiper arm attaches to the vehicle. Fixing wiper arm failure is usually as easy as tightening a nut or replacing a worn out or rusted part.

Here is a step by step guide on fixing this issue.

Step1 49869_65x95_aspect.jpg Mark the existing wiper position on the windshield using a crayon. This will help you align the wiper arm correctly when you install a new one. Alternatively you can use the Trucks own markings. At the bottom center of the windshield you will see writing and three small dots. The wiper should rest on top of these dots. Step2 49870_65x95_aspect.jpg Follow the wiper arm down to where it connects with the Truck. You should find a hinged cap at the end. Step3 49871_65x95_aspect.jpg Lift this cap to reveal the nut and screw underneath. Step4 49872_65x95_aspect.jpg Use a wrench (or socket and ratchet) to loosen the nut. Step5 49873_65x95_aspect.jpg Remove the nut completely, leaving the screw stud exposed and the wiper arm free to be removed. Step6 49875_65x95_aspect.jpg Lift the arm straight up. Wiggle the arm and pull upwards at the same time until the arm slides free of the screw. If it seems stuck, push the arm back down and proceed to Step 7. Step7 49876_65x95_aspect.jpg Use a battery cable puller to pry the arm loose. Arrange so the large puller screw cap sits on top of the wiper arm screw. The outside arms have flat fingers that should be fitted underneath the wiper arm. Step8 49877_65x95_aspect.jpg Grasp the handle at the top of the puller and turn clockwise. The puller screw will push down on the wiper arm screw and simultaneously pull up on the wiper arm. A few slow turns should pop the wiper arm free.

Cabin air filter 2001 Xterra location?

The only two places I have found them are on the passenger side. One is on the fire wall. There will be a rectangular cover with screws or clips, remove the cover and pull out the filter. The other, you have to remove the wiper arms and the bezel under them. The filter is under the bezel.

I replaced windshield wipermotor arms and now they dont stop in home position

You will have to take the arms back off and with wipers off, put them back on where they belong. If that is what you are talking about. If you are talking about the transmission arm on the wiper motor, you may have to disconnect that, set arms right and re hook it up. Hope this was helpful to you

How do you open panel under wiper arms on a 2000 nissan frontier

Hello,

To open the panel under the wiper arms on a 2000 nissan frontier.
  1. The cowl should have some type of fasteners in it that can be removed.
  2. Sometimes manufacturers place little covers over the fasteners to hide them.
  3. You'll probably have to undo some of them with the hood closed and some with the hood open.
  4. You'll definitely have to remove the wiper arms prior to removing the cowl.
That way You will e able to open the panel under the wiper arms.
Hope this was helpful. Thank You for using FixYa!!!

Windshield wiper motor broken

It's not to difficult, you have to remove the wiper arms, then the wiper cowl,(the panel between the hood and the windshield.) then there is a smaller plastic cover just above the motor. Then you just pop off the link arm from the ball socket and un bolt the motor.
