The MFA stands for in German "Multifunktionsanzeige" or Multi-Function Computer; which in a nutshell gives you information about the Temperature, Average Fuel-economy (changes with driving style), km's remaining with your current level of gas, and I am not sure if the Golf IV's show "real time fuel consumption" and I believe that on the Golf V's is also shows the Radio station. The buttons on the tip of the wiper control allow you switch through the various settings. Depending on the country the fuel economy will be shown in either l/100km or MPG. Hope this helps, if you have the cars manual then it should all be explained there.

I have a dodge neon highline sport 1999 duel over cam my timing belt broke and my boyfriend said the engine needed a new head so he went and got a reg engine out of a 2 door neon that wasnt a highline and...

It's difficult to say exactly what the problem is since you had replaced the engine. After the engine was replaced were all systems connected correctly and readjusted for best performance? It's a shame you replaced the engine. You could have repaced the head and the timing belt on the old engine for less $$.

Do you mean the original clock on the dash?
if that is all you have to do is: use a pointed pen to press the hour, then the minute. Better still simply press the 'set' button before you adjust the clock.

My v.w glof glow light dose not come on?

Most likely ignition switch has gone bad.  Don't need to worry about oil pressure light IF the motor is not running, but IF it IS running, shut down motor immediately until oil pressure can be verified with an external gauge.
good luck

1999 Passat V6

The previous post is untrue! MFA means MultiFunktions Ansiege (pronounced AAN-zeeguh).
This is a German- Americanism for Multi-Function Indicator.

The MFA displays the time, time driven since the ignition was started, miles driven since the ignition was started (trip miles are displayed under the odometer), miles per gallon, average miles per gallon, and outside temperature. I think that's it. If you click the little button on the underside the wiper switch, you can toggle between 2 different trackings. If you HOLD that button, you can re-set the avg. mpg's (but not the current mpg's, they are calculated every 30 yards), time driven, miles driven. Contrary to the previous poster's solution, it does not actually indicate anything is wrong with your car! (but they were right about scrolling through the indications with the side rocker switch) the malfunction indicator is on the cluster, it is a little engine block with a lightning bolt through it. It usually means you need an oil change. If it blinks, you have a catalytic converter problem. Hope this helps.
