MY 98 DODGE DAKOTA 3.9L V6 WILL TURN OVER BUT DOES NOT FIRE. IT WILL START IF I HOLD DOWN THE GAS PEDEL, BUT AS SO AS I LET OFF IT DIES. I CAN DRIVE IT BUT HAVE TO DRIVE WITH BOTH FEET. ONE TO OPERATE BRAKES AND THE OTHER TO PUMP GAS PEDAL. I HAVE TO POP IT IN NEUTRAL AT STOPS SO I CAN KEEP PUMPING GAS PEDAL

If battery is weak the idle air control solenoid will search for the right position and stall have battery load tested if good put in a idle air control solenoid..

look at your distributor cap while standing on the driver's side of the vehicle. Start at number 1, which is labelled on the cap, and go clockwise
Check the wire itself by placing it in a different position in the cap. If it's OK, check the inside of the cap for any carbon tracking especially near the #1 wire tower. You have spark from all other wires? It sounds like you have a bad cap. but check both.

I HAVE PLENTY OF CRANKING POWER.
BUT I'LL CHECK MY TERMINALS JUST INCASE
