Hi my 2006 mitsubishi lancer ES service engine soon light came on about 100 miles after I bough it as is took it to advance the code read P0241 warm up catalyst efficeny bank 1below thershold I replaced the 02 sensor near the engine was told it is the unstream sensor cleared the code after 40 miles the light is back on this the same code the other sensor look like a bigger job wire thru the floor do not want to pull it out if that is not the touble

It is right underneath your air cleaner.

I think you might need to ask someone to throttle up the car and you look underneath to try locating the rattling noise. Don't forget that this model runs the exaust pipe in front of the motor so it might be an exaust rattle as well??

two ways you can do it. First it would be best to find someone with a code reader to find out what the code is ,some times aout parts stores will check the code for you and maybe even clear it for you.otherwise unhook one of your battery cables for a little while and the check engine light will go off untill what ever set it off sets it off again note unhooking the battery will clear your radio stations
