1. call a few parts stores to get the best idea on price also you will want to look in to getting new upper and lower coolent hoses and new hose clamps,so your not re-doing a coolent flush when an old hose pops from preasure from the new rad. On the + side your car dose not require to much in way of tools. i have done alot of them. ill give you a parts list and a tool list at the end of telling you how to get'er out & in.
2.Ok get a drop pan and put it under the pepcok valuve (left or right they verry?) if you are going to do hoses, you could just put the drop pan under the lower coolent hose and pop it off and drain the coolent that way, if not open the pepcok and let the rad. drain , keep in mind you will still have some coolent left in the engin block.
3. now take the bolts out of the fan shroud there should be 4 or 6, and dissconect the power wire going to the fan motor, try to do this by hand but if u cant. lightley use a flat head screw driver to seperate them.
4. With the fan shroud louse and free of any thing blocking its removal, pull it out slowley making sure your not hitting anything or damging the shroud on removal.
5. Now with the fan out of the way pop off the upper and lower coolent hoses to the radiator. Now with a line wrench only, dissconect the trans coolent lines from the side of the radiator, on some models there is a rad. hold down clamp that needs to come off also.
6. Now you are ready to take out the radiator, same as the fan shroud slowley pull out the radiator and make sure you dont hit anything on removal. Match up the old and new radiator, making sure all ports are the same. Now just do the reverse to re-install the new radiator.
7. When everything is put back together take your time re-filling the coolent, first fill the rad.till it seems full, then start the car and put the heat in the car on low, this will make sure there are no air pockets from the rad. to the heater core. let the car run for like 20min. filling the radiator as needed, keeping an eye on the coolent guage in the car and making sure you have heat in the car. If the coolent guage starts getting toward (i think) 210 shut the car down and wait a few munits and start again.
Tools you will need: a basic socket set(standard and metric sizes) 1/4drive 3/4drive and 1/2drive wratchets, A basic wrench set, a line wrench set., Long and standard size flat and phillips head screwdrivers, basic plyers.
Parts you will need: 2 gal. 50/50pre mixed coolent, 1 qt. of ATF trans fluid, 4 hose clamps, 1 new radiator, 1 upper & 1 lower coolent hoses
Get ready .. antifrez pan new hoses clamps 10mm.12mm.14.. mm. sockets rachet drain the radiator from lower hose star the car for about 5 seconds . this way the car draints out all the ant.
