my car stalls, when I begin to slow down for a stop light. it starts back up, but this is very scarry to drive. the camshaft censor has been replaced and it continues to do this. I'm very afraid to drive this car.

Check the timing belt. Sometimes the timing tentioner goes bad in them.

Is there a way of checking the timing belt? Also if it's loose Will I have to set up the cam or something for the timing to be right?

1998 Dodge Neon engine died when valves started knocking and car will not restart.

Check the engine for compression. Your head gasket may be shot. I have a 97 that had a similar problem, and we did the head gasket, car runs fine now. Prior to doing the gasket mine wouldn't start at all.

Do a compression test.

I have a 96' Dodge Neon, and my car wont start

Try looking to see if your injectors are clogged or if fuel is getting to the fuel rail. You can take the hose that is on the fuel rail off then try starting it or just pump the gas pedal and you should see gas coming out. I had a similar problem with my 97 neon and this was my problem just try and see, you never know.

Lost all electrical car died wont start

Will it start when you give it a jump or install a good battery? If it does the problem is your alternator. What most likely happened is the alternator quit working while you were driving and the car was relying on the battery directly to keep it going in which the battery completely lost power and shut the car off.
