sorry, not the battery still have the same problem. also i will note that when i shut the door, the light comes on saying the drivers door is still open. then after a while it goes off and everything is fine, until i exit the car again
Unfortunately I have a similar problem with my Passat 1.6. About a month back one of the back indicators stopped working. The indicator light was chnaged at VW garrage. Two weeks after that a light strated coming inside showing some door is open but the problem disappeared soon. After one more week the central locking system became erratic. I was unable to lock the car with remote control. The inner light would not go off. I went to the VW workshop but they asked me to leave the car with them for two days but I did not do that. After I came out of the VW show room the car started working normally. It worked fine for about 20 days except one of the headlight got blown off and needed replacement. Once again the central locking system had failed, the windows and oil tank cap did not work. I discovered one fuse that had blown off which was changed. Everything axcept the tail lock worked fine for about two days. Today the central locking system has failed! I think there is some shor circuiting somewhere which is causing this problem. Is there any solution to the problem? Some people suggest that the entire central locking system be changed but it is very expensive!
