take it to an accredited auto electrician and have the charge circuit tested , including the voltage regulator

The voltage regulator is built directly inside the alternator case. If the regulator fails, you need to replace the alternator.

As far as i know, yes. just go to a crysler dealership and get them to order it for you.

All Bosch, Nippondenso, Mitsubishi, and Chrysler (late model) alternators have an integral electronic voltage regulator. Voltage regulator replacement on these models requires removal and disassembly of the alternator.

Hello saintlp: My name is Roger and I will help you. The voltage regulator is built into the back of the alternator. This cannot be replaced with out the disassemble of the alternator.Their should be a two wire plug at the rear of the case. This is the regulator.

On the LeBaron, the voltage regulator should be mounted under the hood on the passenger side, mounted on the firewall in the upper corner. Hope this helped and best wishes.

I had a similar situation with my 88 new yorker. When I powered up the passenger window, it would go so far make a growling noise and stop. I had to put one hand on each side of the glass and push the window up and this would work only if I got the window up to the growling point. Turns out it was the window regulator tape which was cracked in the middle and I had to replace it. It works fine now.
