SOURCE: 2001 Dodge Intrepid- What does P0622= Generator F-term. Field F control, and P0403= EGR flow circuit malfuntion mean? Thank you

If you've replaced those parts according to the codes, you need to have the codes cleared from the computer, otherwise the car will think you still have the bad parts on, and stay in what they call Limp Mode! Sometimes you can take it to an Autozone, and they can clear it for you! Otherwise you need to have a shop clear those computer codes for you!

Testimonial: "Hello Berlyn, Thank you for your input. I own a scanner that I normally use and tried erasing them again this morning, but for some reason the codes will not erase and battery light stays lit. The Auto zones out here in California no longer check for codes or clear codes, due to legal reasons. I did take it to them to have my battery and alternator checked again today. The battery is fine, however, the alternator's voltage was very low. I took it to an electrician close by because the battery was losing voltage already. I was advised to have them check it because it might be the wiring that's draining the battery. I was told by the electricians that they were going to check all wiring including the PCV. I did as much I could by doing research; like, I always do and couldn't find the issue. Thank you once again Berlyn R. and take care :-)"

Why won't my 2016 Durango charge?

USA car? 3.6 not 3.7:
so did you do all the tests, ??????
belt not lose,
13.3vdc to 15vdc and never less. running.
right, idle is 800RPM never ever less.
all fuses good for sure to PCM brain.
the PCm many be the ALT Regulator, you do know that fact too.
the alternator has a huge fuse off its huge wire stud cable. at ALT and must not blown out.
no scan tool fixing modern cars lacking scan tool is FAIL, hard
it will tell what is wrong if you'd just look.

P0622?? DTC errors means gen field dead.
the alt is for sure external controlled says BOSCH.
and the shop manual too , simple yeas, just 3 parts
no counting bad wire, top thing is fusable link.
see vast noob swap a gen, and not pull battery neg -lug first
and blow the fuse link to H3LL. or make it look burned and 1/2 dead.
gen1-undefined-undefined-0.jpg bottom left is PCM , bad. both G grounds must not be rusty.
ok. count the 4 connections. and none bad.

My battery light came on multiple times this week. Car was running. It went into limp mode, lost gears wont start. Two codes showing are P0700 and P0622. What could it be?

P0622 has to do with the alternator field coil. If possible, have your alternator inspected/tested. Check circuit for wiring issues- broken/exposed wires, etc.

There is no such code for a 2005 Ford Freestyle. P0641 does not exist in the code chart. It goes from P0622 to P0645. Are you sure you wrote it down correctly?

I have an 2002 Cavalier Z24. I recently brought it in for repairs. The Technician replaced the ECM/PCM and it's still acting the same way....the alternator just won't charge the battery. it's a new battery...

Hey Joe , The first thing to do would be check for battery voltage on the heavier gage wire on the back of the alternator , if there is no voltage here there is a open circuit ! Which means the fusible link fried . This wire comes from the starter ! This charging system is controlled by the PCM , but they are rarely the problem . Do you have the charge indicator lit on the dash ? Do you have a check engine light on ? This system can set DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes !
DTC B1328 DTC P0562 DTC P0563 DTC P0621 DTC P0622

P1684, P0622, P0403, P0134. These are the codes that I got from my scanner, what do they mean? Thank you

My guess is you may have wired something up wrong, or installed a faulty part. Either that or forgot to plug something back in while you were putting it back together. In other words replacing a battery and alternator shouldn't cause the oxygen sensor to go bad. So my suggestion is to check all plugs and wires to make absolutely certain everything is put back together correctly before you sink more money into fixing what's not broken. Haynes repair manuals list all the engine fault codes so for everyone else reading this, if you get codes check your manual or head to the library to look it up in theirs.
