I recently bought a 2004 Acura TL (w/Nav) from a private owner. I notice a hard thumping noise every time i go over a slightly rough surface on the front passenger end only. Not sure what it is. Also on the highway, driving between 50MPH and 60MPH, the car vibates a little bit. The allignment seems to be perfect, doesnt pull on any side. Can anyone please tell me what it could be or any suggestions on testing it through DIY guide? Thanks in advance
Sounds like worn suspension components. First, look at the tie-rods beind the wheel, If theres excessive play or real easy to move inplace, than it's bad. Also look at the bushings along the top and bottom of the independant links. Also, check the strut, its the cheapest repair and is most likely the problem.
