A little more info would be needed to properly determine the problem.
under what conditions does it overheat? how long has it been doing it?
The Hyundai being a cast iron block and aluminum head engine, after being overheated repeatedly has probably damaged the cylinder head gasket, requiring replacement. Not uncommon. if this is the case, also change the timing belt while the engine is apart. It's cheap insurance against future problems

Overheating problem for 1996 Hyundai lantra sportswagon

If you have already checked the radiator, fluids, thermostat, and thermo fans and your 1996 Hyundai Lantra Sportswagon is still overheating, there could be other issues causing the problem. Here are a few other things you can check:
  1. Water pump: The water pump is responsible for circulating coolant through the engine and radiator. If the water pump is not functioning properly, it can cause the engine to overheat.
  2. Head gasket: The head gasket seals the cylinder head to the engine block. If the head gasket is damaged or fails, it can allow coolant to leak into the engine, which can cause the engine to overheat.
  3. Cylinder head: If the cylinder head is cracked or damaged, it can cause the engine to overheat.
  4. Engine block: If the engine block is damaged or has a crack, it can cause the engine to overheat.
  5. Clogged radiator: If the radiator is clogged with debris, it can prevent the coolant from flowing properly and cause the engine to overheat.
To determine the cause of the overheating problem, it will be necessary to perform a thorough inspection of the engine and related components. If you are unable to locate the source of the problem or are not comfortable attempting to fix it yourself, it is recommended to have the vehicle inspected by a professional mechanic.

Hyundai Elantra 1.6 1997 model overheats after it has no power. What could be the problem ?

Check for water in the oil (gooey foam after running) - blown head gasket. Check for exhaust smelling bubbles in the radiator - blown head gasket. Otherwise heat activated fan switch (on the radiator) is not coming on soon enough or at all. No fan will overheat an engine especially if a lot of stop and go or idling on warm days. Most common is a stuck thermostat, blocking circulation. Other causes are a blocked radiator - shut a warmed engine off and feel the radiator all over - if too cool in some areas, it is possibly getting clogged up inside. If you are getting radiator antifreeze smell inside the car (fogging the windshield when the car starts in cool weather) your heater core is leaking.

Noisy engine ,overheat,

If your engine is both noisy and overheats quickly, then I would suspect either a blown head gasket or a cracked block. So you need to check for coolant on the oil dipstick or oil in the coolant which are common for those.

1996 Licoln Continental-Overheating-what are the most common causes for the engine to overheat?

with it being a 96 i would say the #1 problem for overheating is low fluid that easy just check fluid and add if necessary.the next most common thing is your thermostat bad. which just means to replace it which isnt to hard either. those are gonna your most common problem solvers.

Overheat 2001 hyundai tiburon

Only 2 parts remaining are the thermostat and waterpump. Always start with the thermostat when diagnosing an overheating problem. If the car is overheating constantly under all conditions and coolant is backing up into the reservoir, it's very likely to be the thermostat. If it only overheats at low speed or idling, it's more likely the waterpump.

Car overheating when going up hills or giving it some stick

First of all, if it were a head gasket, it would most likely overheat just idling in neutral. There are many possible causes for engine overheating (i.e., low coolant level, ineffieciency in the water pump, clogged radiator, malfunctioning thermostat, malfunctioning coolant temperature sensor lying to you, poor connections in wiring, bad ground circuit. etc. The multitude of possible causes are too many to discuss here. Take your vehicle in to a Hyundai Service Center and pay the diagnostic fee to determine EXACTLY what's causing the problem. They'll give you an estimate of repairs (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc).. This way you'll know EXACTLY what the problem is and what's required to fix it.

High mileage 1996 Ford Explorer v8 overheats at 75-80 mph

if your mechanic seen no leaks from hoses or thermostat housing its sounds that either your fan clutch or your thermostat is bad. if its heats will driving streets and not highway its your fan clutch and needs to be replaced. if it overheats in streets and highway its your thermostat and needs to be replaced, you will need a thermostat and gasket with some silicone. Drain, follow the radiator hose to the housing and take 3 bolt off, clean housing well,CAREFULLY install the t-stat exactly the way is was taken out (pic), gasket, sillicone, bolt. ecc3d0c.jpg   its an easy job. Good luck!
