I have a problem my fully charged battery dischageres after a few day if i don't start the engine.I want to know where my power is drains to? Thank you.
Start with checking the battery, cables and all connections forcorrosion and acid leakage at the battery/terminals. Have your battery load tested and recharged with a battery charger NOT by running the car to recharge it. When all is good and your battery properly charged, And you have 14+ volts at the battery when thecar is running. (off it should read around 12.6 volts)
use a DC Voltage Amp Clamp tester on the negative cable to start to find the parasitic draw. Remove fuses on at a time and check the
Clamp meter after removing each fuse, if the reading on the amp clamp drops when you remove a fuse then you have found your
draw. eave that fuse out over night and see if all is ok in the morning.
If you don't have an amp clamp, you can use a simple dc voltmeter
put one terminal on a good ground and observe the difference when you probe each side of the fuse, a significant difference would indicate a load and thus your parasitic draw HTH
Something is constantly draining power like a amp, sterio or alarm
Take your battery to a parts store. they will test it. It is probably shorting out inside and causing the loss. buy new battery.
