Is it just cranking but won't start? Just clicking? Also, have you made sure the belt was installed correctly?

SOURCE: surpentine belt.

depends on which v8 you have....the 4.7 the routing is as follows it goes under the waterpump pully over the alternator down and around the power steering pumpto the crank...it goes under the bottom of the crank to the idler pully.the flat side of the belt goes ver the idler then around the automatic tensioner to the ac compressor.
on the 5.2 and 5.9 it routes starting at the idler pully the flat side goes undr the idler the up to the ac compressor around the compressor and down to the power steering pump ... around power stering pump to waterpump where the flat side is against waterpump pully around water pump down and around crank up it automatic tensioner....around tensioner and up and over alternator

depend what engine you have for the 2.2L engine you need a 3/8 ratchett or use the belt removal tool fit it in the square slot on tensioner rotate counterclockwise. the 3.0 engine you have to use a box end wrench rotate to right.

SOURCE: how to replace surpentine belt

Unless you have a little experience working on cars this could be tough. There should be a picture of the belt routing somewhere under the hood. The tricky part is the tensioner, it has to be pulled up to get the old belt off and the new one on. It should have a square hole in it, I use a 3/8 drive long handled breaker bar to fit in the hole and pull up on the tensioner.Have patients and good luck.

SOURCE: how to replace the surpentine & drive belt for Town ace - Toyota

you are going to need i believe a 15 or 17 mill box-end werench. Find the tensioner pully. it looks like two small pulleys attatched by an aluminum bar. put the wrench on the pully that dosnt move that looks like it is bolted to the engine and pull one way ot the other and it will loosen the belt. Under your hood there should be a white sticker with a diagram on how to put the new accessor/ serpenitne belt on. If you are having troubles before you try this go to your local autozone or checker auto parts and have them show you. Usually they are nice enough to help out.

Car ran fine but now won't start and battery is working but won't jumpstart.

sounds like the starter motor, make sure the battery did not leak acid and corrode the cable, remove battery cables and inspect first. If cables and battery are okay then starter is most likely cause

Tiburon timing belt broke, replaced, won't start

Did you make sure you set cam & crank timing ? If the belt is off one tooth it will cause this. Recheck belt timing first.

CAR STALLED. DISCOVERED TIMING BELT HAD BROKEN. REPLACED BELT. STILL WILL NOT START BUT WILL TURN OVER

It sounds like the timing is still off, which will not allow it to start, or you have a faulty cam, or crank sensor.

Need to know how to put a serpentine belt on a 1995 302 ford motor

Below the altenator is a tensioning pully, insert a 3/8" ratchet or breaker bar in the square hole on the tensioner and release the tension on the surpentine belt and remove the belt. Route the new surpentine belt in place up to the altenator and take the tension off the tensioner and put the belt over the altenator pully. Double check to make sure the belt is riding correctly on all the pullies before starting. Crank the engine over several times before starting to seat the belt. f78f558.jpg
