Very common problem the crank sensor located by the harmonic balancer.sometimes you can take long screw driver and tap on it may change it, also mass air flow meter located in air box area, check vacuum leaks. good luck ,mike

SOURCE: Power Steering pump replacement

if you have power stering oil in it its normal for the pump to be noisy its air that make that noise continue to drive air will come out by itself after a few kilometer it will go away if you have enough oil thanks pierre

SOURCE: Starts fine, Idles fine, Drives Fine for a while

you might want to chk. the crank sensor and or cam sensor. sounds more to me that it could be fuel problem. chk. fuel pressure. pump could be on its way out. don't be fooled by hearing the pump running as they sound like they are pumping but there not, at least not enought pressure to keep it running. pressure should be around 50 p.s.i.

SOURCE: Buick Regal dying

You have a problem in the fuel pump relay circuit for sure then. I'm betting the relay, but it could be that dropping resistor.

SOURCE: harmonic balancer wobble will it cause any more

yes besides causing a vibration while driving and possible throwing belts the balancer out of balance can cause problems with the lower end crankshaft such as seal leaks ,bearings and if breaks off or apart can cause damage to engine and body

Driving down the road,2002 Buick rend. car starts to lose power and die, pulled of side of road restart and runs till I get home. think fuel filter. could it be fuel filter?

There are three possibilities:
1. Fuel pump and filter
2. Catalytic converter plugging up

88 chevy 2.5l, gets fuel will not start

An engine shut not backfire unless the timing is off, it has a burnt valve or an exhaust restriction. Since the crank sensor was the catalyst for the problem, I would again check it. It definately affects the timing for the fuel and spark

Car is quiting while going down road

Have you ever replaced the ignition coil? Sometimes a coil will heat up and break apart inside losing your connection/charge inside it to fire your plugs.

Missfire

Locate you computer (right front kick panel) and tap on it with a pen while the car idles... Also flex it back and forth with your hands to see if the car runs rough or quits... You may need a new one.
