2004 Suzuki Forenza-- flashing check engine light, hesitation

There is like a burning smell from the passenger side inside the hood, vehicle hesitates and stutters, check engine light started flashing. Any ideas of the cause? Nearest dealership is 2 hours away from me.

question for you, I have same problem but have noticed a build up of oil and gunk under the cover where the spark plugs are or in the spark plug ports.

I have the exact same problem. Burning smell, oil gunk buildup, car vibrates alot when at a red light, engine light flashing on and off, going thru a tank of gas faster than before. This has been an ongoing issue for about 6 months or so. But i was told by Auto Zone this morning that the Camshaft Sensor needed to be replaced. Doesn't make sense to me that the sensor is causing all these problems, but we'll see and i'll let you know.

I had this same problem as well until I took the car in to get a coolant leak fixed. Had the water pump replaced (and the timing belt at the same time) and I got it back and it wouldn't start. I've been in and out of the shop for a month now and still having the same problem. Replaced the spark plugs twice, Ignition coil, O2 sensor, and Coolant temp gauge and nothing has worked. The emchanic is starting to think its Electrical. Any ideas? Dealer closed down by me where I got it and the next on is pretty far, any help?

Go to library and get an automechanic's Diagnostic and Repair book or manual.
Simply check out the possibility whether the negative response that you are getting from your car matches the mechanical data found in the repair book and manual.

AND NEVER forget to consult an attorney for FREE advice concerning laws governing the legal responsibilities of auto mechanics (there are attorneys who do NOT charge a fee for the first 30 minutes of advice) Check yellow pages. GOOD LUCK!

Battery, starter, and alternator good, but car won't start, or hesitates to start. What is wrong?

Check your fuses first under the hood and under the dash. Better hope they blew before you did major damage. If you find the ones that blew check what they ran and start checking out your electrical system in that area.Hope whatever started burning was just hot wires and not a ruined electrical system. If there is extra stereos wires or security systems installed (not factory) check that area and if possible disconnect them that may take care of the problem

What is p0300 mean for suzuki forenza 2004

A P0300 diagnostic code indicates a random or multiple misfire. If the last digit is a number other than zero, it corresponds to the cylinder number that is misfiring. A P0302 code, for example, would tell you cylinder number two is misfiring. Unfortunately, a P0300 doesn't tell you specifically which cylinder(s) is/are mis-firing, nor why.

Symptoms may include the engine may be harder to start, the engine may stumble / stumble, and/or hesitate, other symptoms may also be present.

A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Faulty spark plugs or wires
Faulty coil (pack)
Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
Faulty fuel injector(s)
Burned exhaust valve
Faulty catalytic converter(s)
Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
Faulty camshaft position sensor
Defective computer

2004 Freestar-In Jan. it just started hesitating and it would not get over 30 mph. I had it towed to the dealer and they could not find problem. I picked it up and it ran good. I noticed the radio had lost...

Take van to reputable Ford dealer and have them hook it up to computer and check for any codes.
The vehicle computer might have to be reset for the egr system. What they did was disconnect your battery for the quicki reset for vehicle, thats why your radio had reset.

Smoking was coming out of my hood and my car was shaking. My check engine light was blinking, this never happened before. suzuki forenza 04

If the light flashes on and off, the vehicle has a severe problem that will cause additional damage. You should not be driving the vehicle.
