SOURCE: 307 central locking fault

If you have replaced the battery and the ecu wasn't in sleep mode, then you'll lose the synchronisation between immobiliser and fob. go to peugeot dealer or call out a car locksmith who then can reprogram your fob with car ecu. I have read the method in internet but not sure what the steps were. you can google it may be you'll find it.

SOURCE: my daughters central locking on her 2000 peugeot

Yes it is a relay

Is water getting in the central locking relay? sounds like it, remove it dry it...........open it and get the water out if nessesery! then stop the leak or re-locate the relay away from the water!

also can be worn lock in the drivers door or bad door actuator (MASTER)

All quite easy to fix don't worry too much!

Have a good one......Bruce

H, I have a toyota KZ-TE 2003. The central locking system has never worked of my remote control, but opened all 4 doors together with the key. The other day I changed the car battery and 3 min later I put...

If a car has an on board computer there is always a risk of creating a problem when the battery is removed.
I would say the previous owner experienced this but chose to ignore it.
The solution is to have the central locking system re-programmed.
You can check with your Toyota dealer the cost for this (Approximately 5 to 10 minutes work) or search the internet for the sequence required.

1996 Toyota Hilux Surf hubs and diff erratically engaging and disengaging

Based on what you wrote about sitting for a week, my first thought is the battery. Does the truck start?

Next, do you get an error code with OBD2? I have a 97 4Runner that had a similar problem shifting into and out of overdrive. It was an electrical relay inside the tranny.

My thought is that if the battery is low perhaps a similar relay is trying to engage or disengage 4x4. Or that relay is just bad.

Could also be the 4X4 switch itself.

Toyota corolla verso 2007 . the central locking has stopped working

Toyota Corolla Verso - Central locking has just stopped responding

So you don't waste your time, here are some assumptions: -

1. When I press the key fob there is no sound of doors trying to lock/unlock and I know the key fob is fine.

Solution:

In this situation reset the alarm/locking system

Below is the procedure I followed to get the central locking working again: -

Open the passenger door, and look at the side of the dash board. There should be a triangular panel. Pull the panel off to reveal a small set of fuses(see the back of the panel for the fuse map). To power down the central locking you need to remove the Dome Light fuse, this is located top left. Second one down 7.5 amps. (if in doubt remove the top two 7.5 amp fuses I did)

When you remove the fuse(s) you will notice the interior light go out indicating you have powered down the system.

Now leave them out for at least 30 mins so any capacitors can discharge properly. (Be aware while the fuse is removed all central locking is disabled, so the other doors are open. I left the fuse(s) out over night with all the doors open but I don't recommend it, 30 mins should be fine)

After 30 mins replace the fuse(s) close all doors, and then try your key fob, hopefully you should here that satisfying locking sound.

2. When I press the key fob I hear the locking system trying to engage.

This could be a faulty door switch on any door including the boot, or there could be a dent in the inner door panel of any of the doors, usualy the rear doors due to the seat belt not retracting properly.

Solution:

Check all door switches for damage, and check inner panel for dents, just a small dent where the switch connects can be enough to not engage the switch. This will stop the central locking.

Use some kitchen roll wrapped in tape (as a makeshift pad) and tape to the inner door as a temp measure to engage the door switch. At least you can then lock the car.
