Trouble code P1756 means: Governor pressure not equal to target at 15-20 ps
Governor pressure in the trans is not correct. Fairly easy fix. Drop the trans pan and get a governor pressure solenoid from your local dealer. Bolts in pretty easy.

Testimonial: "You were definately on the right track David. We found that it was the solenoid gasket that needed to be replaced. Aparently this was a a shortcoming with Ford transmissions prior to 2004, when they corrected the issue. My vehicle was a 2000 Ford Ranger."

Changed pressure sensor an code still p1756

Contrary to popular belief (and sometimes the salesperson's claims), AutoZone is not a repair shop. They can read the codes and tell you what the code means, but buying parts doesn't always fix the problem. You can check the link provided, or you can take your Ram to a professional shop, where they (normally) warrant their work.

I have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee laredo 4wd. I have a trans code of P1756 and vehicle feels like it has no power and shifts hard. What is this code? and how difficult of a repair is it to do? Thanks

P1756 = Mid presure malfunction, governor, sensor, etc.. When the governor sensor malfunctions it can cause damage to the clutches. Change out the governor & solonoid. Below is a link for a good video regarding repair of this problem.

Can you tell me what the below codes mean. I just when to Auto Zone and had a diagnostic scanning done. AA- bank 1 AA1 aa2 aa3 aa4 Thank you.

I also work for autozone, 5+ years, and these are not trouble codes. I would find another Autozone and have them re-read it. Trouble codes would look like this: P0300, or P1756. The codes you have are not correct. Also, they should take you inside, look up the code, and explain what they mean. Also. ask them to print them out.

What this mean p1756

P1756 what does this mean: It is transmission related, difinition is: transmission governor pressure not equal to target...its a transmission code this is a common failure... have seen these governer pressure sensors fail often.... most codes are governer pressure sensor volts too high or low, governer pressure sensor not equal to target.. Most of the time you replace the governer pressure sensor and soleniod.. I would recommend you to fix this problem if not you will end up burning the clutches in the trans... The trans pan needs to be removed....the sensor is bolted to the valve body and is located on the pass front side of the valve body.

OBD II Code P1756.

Could be a bad sensor, but it's transmission related. Anything affecting internal trans pressures should be taken care of by a reputable trans shop.
