Ford Explorer ABS light on, ADVTRAC light on and 4x4 light all on

These lights all turned on at once today when I got on the free way. Nothing seemed to happen to the car itself, but it was below freezing this morning, the check air pressure light came on (I will check tire pressure today) But are those related? What do I do with the other stuff? Do I need to take it in?

Check all the Fuses. especially the one that may be common to all. i don't have a Manual here. I advise you, to go get a manual, for around $30 , at the Parts Store. Look at the Wiring Harness and Fuse Blocks. They come together somewhere. Also, you did not mention the red Brake Lamp. Is it on? If so that will possibly disable, all the above.

SOURCE: AdvTrac light remains on all the time and "check AdvTrac" message

You will have to retrieve and clear codes from VDM module with a scan tool. You may also have to calibrate it as well.

SOURCE: our abs light advtrac light

You may have a bad wheel bearing--do you hear a growing noise that gets louder with speed? The wheel sensors on your wheels are sensitive to excess motion between the wheel hub and the wheel, as they have a small gap between the sensor and the tone ring on the axle. The speed sonsors are used by both the ABS and the traction control systems on your truck. You can check your bearings for failure by jacking up the car and trying to shake the wheel. If the wheel doesn't have noticeable play, the bearing may still be bad enough to cause the sensor to misread the speed. If you're not sure, have your mechanic check the wheel bearings. If you have more questions, please let us know.

SOURCE: have an 05 ford explorer. The ABS, ADVTRAC lights

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
You may just have system failure and I suggest that you remove the positive battery connector. Let it sit for atleast 5mins. or more before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get your vehicle back to it's normal operation.
Hope this helps and thank you for using Fixya! Have a good one!

2005 ford explorer ABS, SES LIGHT, AND ADVTRAC LIGHT ON

The first thing to do is to have the ABS and engine computers scanned for trouble codes.
The problem with the check engine light could also turn on the ABS and traction control lights. Or it could be different issues.
The gas gauge being out of calibration could be the float in the gas tank or the gauge on the dash. I doubt that problem is related to the warning lights.

2004 Ford Explorer ABS light on constantly and

I just had the same exact problem. The ABS light was on constanly, and the 4x4 high light flashes about 8 times, turns off for about 2-5 minutes, then flashes again for another 8 times and keeps repeating. In addition, I was also hearing and feeling a grinding and clunking noise going in reverse, and the steering wheel was difficult to turn. I changed a bad hub assembly on the front driver side and everything went away...fixed! I wouldn't let anybody tell me that the ABS system and the 4x4 system are not linked together. In fact, my local Ford service department assured me that I had two separate issues. Well, I only had one issue and it was a bad ABS sensor. I hope my exprience helps you.

My abs lights and advtrac lights came on simultaneously and i don't know why

It means you have a fault in your vehicles antilock brake system. Having the light on will disable the abs system. Antilock/traction control keeps your wheels from locking up and provides you with a more controlled stop, such as in rain or snow. Take it in to a repair facility and have them scan the abs system for fault codes codes

Disconnect the battery and try to reset the system to default. It may be a PCM issue.

ABS/CHECK ADVTRAC/SKIDDING CAR LIGHTS GO ON

The abs sensors also control the traction control and 4 wheel drive actuators so if one of the sensors is faulty the traction control will be disabled and the drive system will be stuck in the mode set at time of failure be that 4x4 or 2wd
get the abs system repaired
