Keyless entry is not working

Out of the blue, the keyless entry stopped working. The trunk release also stopped working and the indicator on the dash shows that the trunk is open. The door lock/unlock on the console work fine.

Probably the battery in the remote. Would check that first. Let me know if that works before getting deeper into it.

Was a bad fuse for the keyless entry, but the trunk release still does not work. You can hear a relay engage when the release button, remote or the button on the trunk are pushed. The light on the dash indicates that the trunk is open when it is indeed closed.

SOURCE: My keyless entry doesn't work,

Hold both buttons the Open and the Lock on your remote key for about 60 seconds, it should turn the lights inside the car and the problem should be fixed.
It worked on my Honda Accord 2004

SOURCE: keyless entry won't work

I have a 1999 BMW E46 I have had a problem with the keyless entry myself. I brought the car to BMW Dealer and they told me that my Lock had an issue and that they need to repair some wiring wich would cost me $1,023.98 to find out that it was a fuse that burned out. I have replaced the 5 amp fuse with another one but it burned the fuse again so I put a 10 amp fuse and i have not had a problems since. In my car is fuse # 54 if Im not mistaken. But waht you can do is open the fuse box which is located in your glove compartment look for a diagram that shows you which fuse is where it will give you a fuse name a number where the fuse is located and how many amps fuse it is.

Trunk release for 98 pont gp no power, can't find the fuse and the switch itself was checked and was good

Check trunk release solenoid for power and ground when applied from switch. If power and ground ok, then release solenoid is the problem in the trunk lock mechanism. If misssing power or ground, then electrical diagnostics will be required

Keyless entry and dash remote trunk release not working

Use your key to unlock the door / trunk. If your car starts up; it might just be a connector and / or your battery in your remote. Try the simple / cheaper fix check by checking the connectors leading to the trunk release solenoid.

Keyless entry has stopped working. Battery is replaced but still no remote operation of the doors or trunk.

The keyless entry matches to the module for it that is mounted under the dash. It may have gone bad since your remote will not function. Of course it could be your remote as well that went bad

Same car same problem, but I found the plug w/two wires behind the glove box. It is on a brace on the left hand side, has a clip holding it there. Lift up on the clip and it slides off.
I jumpered those two wires, the door locks did not cycle as was in the instructions and remote still doesn't work.
Sounds to me like I'm missing power from somewhere, but where?
Hope you find your wires and they work for you.
