Turbo ceases to cut in after 1/2 hour of driving. What causes this to happen?
How often do you change your oil?,turbo engines tend to cook your engine oil, because of the turbine is also cooled by the same oil, check to make sure your oil is not black or (burned),should change every 2500 miles on a turbo, those little turbines get hotter than the engine, also make sure their is no air leakage in your air cooler, that can burn up your turbine!

this is not good; you probably ran the turbo bearings dry and they have seized try to loosen the turbo by removing it breaking it loose and lubricating the bearings if they are still good or, find another one at the junkyard

Hi,
you need to get the codes read first this should give you fault codes if no codes check the vacumn pipes for splits etc and read the live data for the mass air flow sensor,it will either be an over boost problem or low reading MAF sensor causing the turbo to shut down all you do by ignition off and then on is reset untill it see`s the fault again.

check the turbo hoses, they are renound for dry cracking, very hard to see at first glance

check the rubber pipes are not collapsing ,they run from the air filter to the turbo if they appear ok then replace the turbo

That sounds like turbo overboost, ECU cutting the boost off. when you try and boost again feels like your hitting a brickwall, or when it happends feels like your hitting a brick wall...turning the car off resolves this.
Reset your ecu, disconnect the battery for 30seconds - 1minute.
