I am old school. So, if they are hydralic, they can be adjusted. I've never replaced one unless it's had several hundred thousand miles one it. Better invest in a DIY book. It's worth it.

There are some awesome adhesives on the market. I am thinking about one for boats and just remember "1500" as part of the name. With marine products you will not have any problems with moisture separating it so car washes will be okay.

SOURCE: need head bolt, intake upper and lower and rocker arm torque lbs.

Head bolts--------- 22 ft lbs.
Intake upper------ 18 ft lbs.
Intake lower------- 10 ft lbs. Tighten vertical bolts first, the diagonal bolts, failure to do this will result in an oil leak.
As far as the rocker arm bolts, they have to be adjusted with the valves closed, tighten down just enough to turn the push rods with your fingers with slight tension.
This is out of a Technical Specifications Manual.
