My 1993 lx mustang will trun over but will not start. gets gas got fire, what next?

IF IT CRANKS AND DOESN'T START COULD BE FUEL RELATED, NEXT TANK OF GAS TRY USING MIDDLE RANGE GAS MORE OCTANE RATING SHOULD FIRE QUICKER?

Check your transmission oil dip stick....look at the color of it. If its Brownish Black in color tranny is toast. Start there. Hope this helps you to start with.

Start by checking for vacuum leaks, compression then a scan for fault codes. One of those should turn up a problem

Try getting the codes pulled at a car parts shop. Usually the computer will keep it in its history. It sounds like it is an ignition problem. If there is no stored code I would look at things in this order: spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor/coil. If none of these seem to be the problem you may have to take it to a shop. If it was just the start and idle problem I would say it is something with what I said but that high RPM thing seems strange.

should be on the fire wall or neer the fender. but check for power at the starter first.relay usualy dont go bad

probably clogged fuel injectors,take them out and clean them with air hose,very costly to replace them

you have a restriction in your exhaust system, most likely the cat or the muffler.

The crankshaft sensor went bad. I Was'nt getting any fire from the coil pack. Tried switching coils and still nothing, tried switching ignition modual, nothing. I checked to make sure it was in time and it was. Nothing left to check so I changed the crank sensor and it firerd right up! Thanks.

well if memory serves me this car has a coil with a distributor so first replace the rotor button check the distributor cap for cracks and oxidation then check your timing belt remove #1 plug turn piston to tdc then check if your timing marks are lined up other things you could check:module,egr valve,pcv valve you could also be more specific how do you know it has spark and fuel?
