sounds like the drivers side key switch has failed remove the interior door panel and there will be a switch attached to the back of the key lock cylinder or around there it should be two or three wires also check the door jamb wire harness where the door closes for any broken or damaged wires, use a vot meter and see if you get power or ground to the opposite side of the switch when you use the key to lock and unlock the door if nothing changes and there is power or ground! at this switch i would replace it, i don't think there is one but if the car has a passenger side key hole try to unlock the car from that side and see if you get the same problem -jeff

Just had the same problem with my '05 van. I put the Master Switch in the off position. I pulled fuse #7 on the driver side sub panel, located just above the engine hood release. I then disconnected the neg. terminal on the battery. I manually opened the pass. side slider and closed it.

I reconnected the battery and replaced fuse #7. I put the master door switch in the on position. I activated the auto door switch, and it worked.

Try to disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes this should reset the computer for you.

Your door actuators are out and will need to be replaced. This is a common problem . My 03 has this issue too. Actuators are about $70 each. I would recommend finding a good stereo shop to install them instead of the dealer since stereo shops deal with removal of door panels and actuator installs day in and out.
