Rear seat stuck down broke cable 2006 uplander

Mentioned here with fix. There is a sensor in the seat that knows someone is sitting in it. If there is it will arm the seat airbag.

You have to take out passenger seat ! Four nuts or bolts hold it down. Push seat back all the way to get front fasteners and front to get back ones .Does vehicle have carpet ? Under seat is a connector X308 (23 cavities ) yellow wire pin K .

sometimes you can get a screwdriver down into the latch were the cable hooks and prey the latch up as the cable would

Push on the seat to the rear while pulling the cable release. Sounds like latch is adjusted too tight. If this works make adjustment before putting the seat back up. Open trunk & you should also be able to get to the speakers and the latch for the seat back. May require a screwdriver or something narrow & long to push on the latch arm while another person pushes & pulls the seat back to unlatch.

Remove the entire seat from the truck and then remove seat cover and replace the broken part(s)

how do I remove my dvd player in my 2006 chevy uplander? I need to replace it and dont want to spend that kind of money to have it pulled out. I dont see any screws or bolts

Check to see if anything is blocking the seat. If not then a linkage may be broke or unhooked.

the release cable has broke ,take the seat out and have a play to work out whats wrong ,you may be able to repair it with a bicycle brake cable

Have you checked the Aux switch near the bottom of the center control console.
There should be a knob with: Aux, Off, 1, 2, 3. This is the switch for the rear AC blower.
If the driver wants to control the rear AC, use the 1, 2, 3 settings.
If you put it on Aux, Than the rear AC is controlled by the passenger in the back seat using the extra controls located on the Overhead DVD player. (The front AC must be on the rear to work)
