Had tires rotatated and balanced . Had car in tranny shop .Everybody says no problem with CV shafts or joint or trans. Car still has a shake between 50 and 60 . Any hints etc !! Help !! 2.7 magnum engine ! Thanks Frank
Did the vibration seem to move when the tires were rotated? That would point to the tire problem indicated above. Your symptoms seem to point to hub bearings, though. Have those checked for excessive play due to wear.
Most shop today follow a cut and dried system. They don't find anything, they tell ya "Sorry"
Here's what I've had. Two of my tires had broken belts. Easy way to check. First be somewhere where air is available. Jack up car to get tire off the ground. Let all the air out of that tire. Now, look real close for a "Flat" spot or for the tire, not the wheel, to be out of round. That is a broken belt. The fix? Replace it.
Other time, I had bought a used car and the owner used the "Fix A Flat". This puts fluid into the tire and can give you a fit trying to figure out why it vibs and sometimes it doesn't.
Good luck
