The only thing that is left for you to do is to remove the stereo and then disassemble it and remove it yourself. A little daunting but needs to be done. Sounds like it went in wrong and then became jammed

SOURCE: Hatch won't open on 2004 Malibu Maxx

Try pushing the trunk release and turning the key in the lock at the same time.
It sounds like the electric lock has not released for what ever reason.
You should hear the trunk release relay when you push the remote.

SOURCE: How do you change the serpentine belt chevy malibu 200

Well you don't have to remove the tensioner. If you look at it, you'll see a 3/8 square hole in the arm of the tensioner. Put a ratchet wrench, or breaker bar in the hole, and you can move the tensioner, it is only spring loaded. The diagram for how the belt laces in should be on the radiator core support. Lace it for the majority around, move the tensioner, and once you have the belt in line, release the tension on the tensioner arm.

Can you replace the alternator pulley on a 2006 Malibu Maxx or do you have to replace altenator

you can replace the pulley depending on the type of belt you want to use
your photo indicates a v section belt and it is assumed that you want to run a serpentine belt
getting the pulley may present a problem so talk with your auto electrician as he may have an assortment of pulleys from dead alternators

To see if the noise is coming from one of the accessories driven by the serpentine belt, remove the belt and run the engine for a short time. If the noise is gone, spin each one the pulleys and see if you feel any roughness or the pulley is binding. The belt tensioner pulley and the idler pulley are the most frequently ones that cause squealing noise.

My 1999 jeep cherokee belt squeals very loud when giving it gas and chirps a little when idleing

If you get the squealing noise even when car is not running, and if noise get louder when you push the accelerator pedal, then it is the serpentine belt.

You may need to put the belt in tension, or to replace it.
