Security light is on in my 1999 buick regal. Car won't start. It does nothing when I turn the key on. I have a remote starter. Could that be the problem? HELP
I had the same problem with my 95 Lesabre. The owners manual says to take the key out, and wait 3 minutes(until the light goes off). It should fire right up.
A remote starter could be the problem. Have you recently gotten a new ignition key? If you have gotten a new key does it have a chip on it? If so is it the right chip? If no chip on key then that is for sure the problem. As long as that light is on after turning ignition to the on position (not start position) the car will not start when turned to the start position. If this doesn't help you out then submit more information and i'll try to help again.
