Check your fuse box for burnt out fuse for radio. The fuse diagram should be on the fuse cover.

I replaced my ford Radio with another factory radio remaufactured. I plugged in the 2 plugs and the antennas, only the clock works. It will take CDs but won't play them, radio doesnt go to radio,

Modern automotive electronics are keyed to the VIN through the ECU to prevent theft, you must have the radio ID #, and key it into the radio with the number pads on the radio, only the dealership can retrieve the correct code for your vehicle. Probably not what you wanted to hear.

Radio lights but doesnt turn on and even cd player doesnt work

Check your fuse block to make sure the fuse is good - if so, then your radio may have burnt. Also look on the back of the radio to see if there's a fuse mounted in the case. If it's an aftermarket radio, it could have the light wired to the dash light switch which would make the front light up without radio function.
Hope this helps!

Tilt steering doesnt work blows fuses

The wire that supplies a live to your radio, runs from ignition down the steering column. You probably have a chafed wire along that loom, as you tilt the steering, the wire grounds so the accessories fuse/radio fuse blows. Remove the panel under the steering column and/or the shroud around the column and examine the wiring.
