I'm looking to buy a 97 Dodge Avenger and all I hear are negative reviews...does anyone have anything positive?
Tune up (plugs, wires, and distributor cap) was done on a '97 Dodge Avenger with the 2.5l engine because it wouldn't start. It ran for 1 day after the tune up,but will not start now. No spark at the plugs. Any suggestions? Thanks
Mine does the same exact thing occasionally. It will be running great and one day decides NOT to start for no reason. Everytime this happens, I take it to a mechanic that has a diagnostic machine and have my car's computer RE-BOOTED or re-set. Always solves the problem for some reason. I don;t know why it does this.

I loved mine. I got rid of it because I was driving in the boonies when it started to buck. No engine warning light, nothing. Brought it to a mechanic, they couldn't figure it out, was still bucking. I ended up buying a new car because I needed a reliable car for my job. Turned out to be the spark plugs! Argh! I loved the car though! They're pretty rare here, so you knew it was me on the road!
It's a nice looking car, good mileage and fairly reliable,
