Looking for wiring diagram for cruise control 1991 k1500

take the cover off the cruise control actuator located on the firewall in engine compartment remove the cover and see if the ribbon is broken that actuates the cable to the throttle,then ck the brake switch adjustment,if all is ok the switch on steering colum is bad to replace this you grasp the whole handle firmly and rotate it toward front of veh while pushing in toward colum,the wires go through the colum and are attatched under dash,attatch a fine stiff wire at connector and pull out then attatch thin wier to new switch wire and pull back through colum

yes u can remove your cruise control on your celica (sept #1 take out or disconnect the cruise control cable on the throtle body then disconnect the wiring harness on the cruise control unit and if theres a vacum hoses connected just plug main vacum supply hose and your cruise control is already disable

red wire comes from fues box and white wire goes up steering colmn for the brake light turnsignal combonation. purple wire comes from fuse box and orange wire goes to cruise control unit for disengaugment

I have a 90 z71 that had the same problem . I had to change the siolnoid on the frontend.

Go to your local auto parts store and look for a book, Haynes Diesel Engine Repair Manual, Part number 10330. It has your wiring diagram and a lot more. I got mine at Canadian Tire.

I would look at the wiring around the bellhousing first to be sure you have not pinched any wires. On that truck, behind the glove box is the PCM, and another white colored box called a DRAC. The DRAC controls the speedometer not the PCM. Look into replacing it. Also check your trans and gauge fuses. Good Luck.

Check your cruise control fuse or relay. It will be in your owners manual. If fuse is good than the cruise itself may be faulty. Check continuity on cruise controler itself. If there is power, than the controller itself is bad and need to be replaced. If there is no power than it may be a faulty switch.
