It Is Supposed to do that (the key turns on the relay) is then switched to the on position then the gas gets pumped to the fuel injection rail which in returns gives it gas to start !! then the cps Crank Shaft Positioning Sensor detects the motor is spinning then keeps pumping gas into the fuel rail which in return pumps fuel though the injectors !! which makes internal combustion possible!!(Your Motor Fire On All Cylinders)!! Best,

you must be getting fuel, remove fuel line @ engine, have someone crank the engine, then you'll know, NO SMOKING ! if no fuel, check fuel pump relay ! check all fuses . pump should hum for only 2 seconds, when key is turned to ON position. to prime the system. always check all ground wires to fuel system. important ! good luck
Attempt to start the car by turning the key to the Start/Run Position. Observe that the vehicle fails to start and that the security light is illuminated. leave the key in the 'ON/Accessory' Position. (DO NOT turn key to the 'off' position.) Allow the vehicle to sit with the key in the 'ON/Accessory' Position for no less than 12 minutes. Turn key to off position and allow the vehicle to remain in the 'OFF' position for no less than 30 seconds. Then start the engine. This worked for me.
To bleed the fuel system you need to remove the plunger on the fuel rail. It is located where you hook up a fuel pressure gauge. Once it is removed have someone cycle the ignition key to the KEY ON ENGINE OFF position, or the accessories position, 2 - 3 times this will get all of the air out. Also place a tube on the fuel pressure fitting so that fuel doesn't spray all over the place. Once this is done replace the plunger and cycle the key 2 - 3 more times. This will ensure fuel is at the injectors
Well, the other possible item is a load leveling pump. You need to get the car on a safe lift and explore. If the fuel pump is the source, replace it as failure will be coming soon.
put fuel in tank. turn key to run position( not start) wait 5 seconds. You should hear the fuel pump running. Repeat. Then start car. If you do not hear the fuel pump hum then it may have siezed due to lack of lubrication from no fuel. Sometimes you can get the fuel pump to kick on if you bang on the gas tank with the palm of your hand_ while turning the key to start position.
Replace the oil pressure switch for the third wire on that sends 12 volts to the fuel pump upon turning the ignition key on to prime. Once oil pressure is achived the computer shuts that circuit off and turns on the fuel pump relay to power the pump till you shut off the engine
This may be a fuel problem. You will need to gain access to the fuel pump relay or fuel pump to confirm that voltage is available to the pump when the key is in the run position. A simplier way to verify fuel is to hook a fuel pressure gauge to the shrader valve on the fuel rail if one is available.
