I have a 2003 Deville...battery is under rear seat ...pull seat up and out to raise....battery itself is very easy to change out.

You may be lucky, but it is unlikely! Recharge your battery or use a jump start.

Sometimes if the battery is really dead, even jumping it wont help it start up. It just sounds like a dead battery. Just try getting a new batter first then go from there.

The battery is under the rear seat on the passengers side.Just make sure and disconnect the ground first when removing the battery and connect the ground last after installing the new one.Hope this helps.Good luck.Let me know if you have anymore questions.

The fusable links from the positive cable and the starter are shorted out. Also check the altenator fuse as well

You can buy a battery at an autoparts store or even some department stores which feature autorepair (walmart,sears) or even some shopping clubs (BJ's). Batteries become more expensive as you go from 48 months to 60-72 months and so on.

Look for a battery which has at least 800 cold cranking amps. Wherever you buy the battery will have a catalog to ensure the new battery fits your car. Take a quick look under the hood to see where the battery posts are positioned. i.e. POS right front, POS left front, POS left back This will make things easier when installing the new battery. sounds like jumped timing belt maybe chain ,no spark is my guess if it turns over and dont even make a pop noise..

Had battery replaced on 2005 DTS and afterward the radio/NAV/On-Star would not work.(Totally dead) The dealer who installed could not locate problem. (No GM dealer in Amador County, CA). I read several forums citing this/similar problems. I checked the three fuses labelled "radio, audio, NAV" by pulling, checking and reinstalling (all three were good). When I then restarted the car, everything was once again working! Poor connection? Corroded contacts? Some mysterious computer glitch? Who knows?
