How do i replace the heater hose fitting for a 2006 pontiac grand prix
Drain approximately two-thirds of the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir. Lift the rear of the Pontiac Grand Prix off the ground with a car jack. Its called a torx bit socket. You can buy them at AutoZone or that type of parts store.
SOURCE: where is the heater core located in 1997 pontiac grand prix
Core is dead center in front of the shift console. There is a bunch of plastic that needs to be removed to get to it, including (on most) the console.
Hardest part of job is getting to the heater hose ends on the firewall (difficult to get to from above or underneath unless it's on a lift, but not impossible) Haynes and Chilton have pretty good instructions for that job and you can use the manuals for other stuff as well...(about $20)
Job takes some time but is much easier than a Jeep!!!! (all day job)
Good luck
SOURCE: where is the fuel filter on a 2006 pontiac grand p...
Pontiac stopped installing the fuel filter on the rail in 2006. The 2004-2005 models had a fuel filter on the driver's side under the rear passenger seat area clipped to the frame. 2006 beyond the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump unit inside the tank.

Sounds like the temperature blend door actuator may be bad or the vacuum hose to it is disconnected.
Poor Heater System Performance
CAUTION
Check all fluid levels and adjust as needed, before operating vehicle for extended periods at idle.
Ok fellow 2006 Grand Prix owners!! By trial and error, I went through the process of elimination because my car would over heat and had no heat inside. After changing the thermostat, I had to replace the water pump. However, after you do this, you need to open the inlet hose bleeder and let the air out a few times. This solved my issue of overheating and I now have great heat!!!
